LIC examination
LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India), Mumbai is organizing selection examination for the post of assistant engineers and assistant administrative officers on 4 th April, 2020. Those who are interested to apply, visit LIC Recruitment in Mumbai for more information.
Examination pattern
Selection will be done by traditional three rounds (Preliminary, Mains and Interview). And after successful completion of these three rounds, qualified candidates will have to pass the medical fitness test also.
Preliminary examination
Preliminary examination is online objective test of Reasoning ability, English and Quantitative aptitude (Elementary mathematics). But the English language test is going to be qualifying nature only. Marks of English language test will not be counted for ranking.
Total number of questions : 100
Full marks : 70
- Reasoning ability [Full marks: 35, Number of questions: 35] Time - 20 minutes
- English language [Full marks: 0, Number of questions: 35] (because it is qualifying nature only as described above already) Qualifying marks for general - 10 , and for others - 09 .. Time - 20 minutes
- Quantitative aptitude [ Full marks: 35, Number of questions: 35] Time - 20 minutes
So, each question carries 1 marks in the preliminary examination. And there are separate timings for each section.
Mains examination
Mains examination is going to be objective type of 300 marks and descriptive type of 25 marks. Both will be online test. But descriptive part is qualifying nature only. It will not be counted for ranking.
- Reasoning ability [Full marks: 90, Number of questions: 30] Time - 40 minutes
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs [Full marks: 60, Number of questions: 30] Time - 20 minutes
- Professional Knowledge [Full marks: 90, Number of questions: 30] Time - 40 minutes
- Insurance and Financial Market awareness [Full marks: 60, Number of questions: 30] Time - 20 minutes
- Descriptive English Test (Letter writing & Essay writing / Legal Drafting for AAO Legal) [Full marks: 25(not countable for ranking; qualifying marks for general- 10, and for others- 09); Number of questions: 2] Time - 30 minutes
